| Abstract: | The study examines one-neutron knockout reactions where a 22N projectile interacts with a 9Be target at a laboratory energy of 700 MeV/nucleon. The analysis incorporates the low-energy excited states of the 22N projectile, specifically the 1− and 2− states, along with various excited states of the core 21N. Using the eikonal approximation within the Glauber model, neutron breakup cross-sections and the longitudinal momentum distribution (LMD) width of the emitted core were calculated for all possible configurations of the projectile. These calculations, carried out with the CSE GM Fortran code, are then compared with existing experimental data. The predicted one-neutron removal cross-section and LMD width are found to be close to the experimental results when one of the configurations 1/21 − 1 ⊗2s1/2 (Jπ = 0−), 1/2 − 1 ⊗2s1/2 (Jπ = 1−), or 3/2 − 1 ⊗2s1/2 (Jπ = 2−) represents the structure of 22N. Furthermore, it is asserted that the measured LMD width is reproduced by considering an admixture of s-state (70-90%) with d-state (30–10%). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
