Abstract: The aspects of application of high-speed pyrometry in a dynamic explosive experiment are described. The operating principle of the technique, implementation options, and achievable parameters are described. The calibration method, the method of selecting the spectral interval, and the method of expanding the dynamic range are briefly described. Estimates of the achievable ranges of the measured temperatures, limited from below by noise of the oscilloscope or signal amplifier, are given. A method for calculating the radiation of an object consisting of layers with reflections at the boundaries is proposed. The main expressions for signal processing for the purpose of calculating color and brightness temperatures are given. References to the experimental works in which the pyrometric technique was used are given. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
