Abstract: This paper considers the problem of event‐triggered bumpless transfer tracking control problem of switched positive systems. First, an event‐triggered strategy and event‐triggered bumpless switching performance are proposed, which save communication resources and suppress bumps caused by triggering and switching. Meanwhile, by solving the minimum positive lower bound of the event‐triggered interval, the occurrence of Zeno behavior is avoided. Second, the event‐triggered controller and switching law are co‐designed synchronously, which guarantees the realization of the model‐reference unilateral tracking with L1$$ {L}_1 $$ performance and bumpless performance. The proposed method can ensure the stability of the closed‐loop switched system even if all subsystems are unstable. Finally, the sufficient conditions for unilateral tracking and event‐triggered bumpless switching performance of switched positive systems are derived by adopting the multiple Lyapunov functions method. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy are verified through simulation experiments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
