Abstract: The article reports on the downfall of Woo Suk Hwang, the South Korean scientist who earned world renown with the first therapeutic cloning of a human embryo, an achievement that now proves to be entirely fraudulent. The photographs of cloned cells proved to actually depict the same cell. Hwang claims that the photographs of the cells were switched without his knowledge. These findings have raised questions about Hwang's other achievements, including the first cloned dog, Snuppy.
