Abstract: The article focuses on the development of an autonomous learning system designed to help students practice oscilloscope control and measurement skills independently. This system connects a physical digital oscilloscope to a computer that remotely controls the device, provides randomized measurement exercises, and delivers immediate grading and feedback based on student performance. Implemented as a pilot at Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, the system uses the Virtual Instrument Software Architecture (VISA) protocol for device communication and authenticates users via institutional credentials to integrate with formal coursework.
