Abstract: To efficiently solve complex symmetric linear systems, a variable-parameter MHSS (VMHSS) iteration method is developed in the present work. The VMHSS method extends the classical MHSS framework by dynamically updating the iteration parameter at each step. Two practical strategies for selecting the variable parameter sequence are developed, accompanied by a detailed convergence analysis. Extensive numerical tests reveal the superior processing speed of the VMHSS approach relative to comparable existing algorithms. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
