Abstract: This paper investigates the problem of mixed passivity and H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ filtering for interval type‐2 (IT2) discrete‐time singular Markovian systems. To conserve limited network resources, a novel intelligent event‐triggered mechanism is proposed. Based on the proposed intelligent event‐triggered mechanism, the IT2 singular Markovian switching system is established. By employing the delay partitioning technology, a new criterion is derived which guarantees the filtering error system to be regular, causal, and stochastically admissible with a certain mixed passive and H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ performance index. We propose a collaborative approach that integrates mode‐dependent or mode‐independent filter design with the parameters of an intelligent event‐triggered mechanism. Facilitated by the method, the intelligent event‐triggered filter can be developed in light of the obtained analysis result. The effectiveness of our method is demonstrated through two numerical examples. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
