| Abstract: | Texturing is an important step in processing of filament yarns into textile products. During texturing, flat filament yarns are crimped to make their properties more comparable to those of natural fiber yarns. Texturing also improves thermal properties and increases elasticity. Due to those properties, textured yarns are used in apparel, seat covers or carpet materials.[1] Of particular importance for the textile industry is the false-twist texturing process.
