| Abstract: | This study develops a two-class and two-stage queuing model incorporating customers with non-preemptive priority, customer impatience, and repairable server failures. Such a design renders the model more practical and closer to real-life scenarios. Based on the model formulation, this study deduces the transition rate matrix of the system, and uses an iterative algorithm to calculate the steady-state probabilities and main performance metrics. Numerical experiments are performed to explore the influence of different parameters on the system performance metrics. Finally, the individual benefits of type A and type B customers as well as the overall benefits of the entire system are analyzed respectively, and suggestions for improving individual and overall benefits are put forward.
