Abstract: The mechanism of soil arching is a critical technical issue in the load transfer of geosynthetic‐reinforced pile‐supported (GRPS) embankments. To investigate the evolution of soil arching under high‐speed railway loading within a pile group system, a performance analysis model for a GRPS embankment was established using ABAQUS. The constructed model was validated by focusing on two aspects: surface settlement and strain in the reinforcement layer. By analyzing variations in axial force within pile bodies, pile–soil stress ratios, and pile settlement with respect to foundation depth across different loading frequencies, this study investigates how loading frequency affects the load‐bearing behavior of GRPS embankments. The research findings show that significant soil arching develops within GRPS embankments under high‐speed railway loading, and its development is closely related to loading frequency and pile–soil differential settlement. The loading frequency significantly influences the axial force distribution within the piles. In the upper part of the pile group, the axial forces among different piles remain relatively uniform, whereas the differences gradually increase with depth, indicating the development of pile group interaction and stress redistribution. The loading frequency has little effect on the pile–soil stress ratio, and the relationship between the pile–soil stress ratio and loading frequency is nonlinear. These findings will aid in refining the design theory for GRPS embankments and offer valuable insights for practical use. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
