| Abstract: | This article focuses on recent advances in Heritage Science, a multidisciplinary field dedicated to the study, preservation, and sustainable management of cultural heritage assets through non-destructive or minimally invasive analytical methods. It highlights seven international research contributions that address three main pillars: mechanical degradation and structural integrity, micro-analytical archaeometry and provenancing, and affordable, non-contact in situ monitoring technologies. The studies demonstrate the use of integrated multi-analytical protocols, innovative mechanical testing adapted to fragile materials, and cost-effective digital tools such as low-cost LiDAR and hyperspectral imaging to enhance artifact characterization and conservation. Collectively, these works illustrate a shift toward accessible, multi-scale, and data-driven approaches that aim to optimize preservation strategies while minimizing damage to cultural artifacts.
