Abstract: The article reports on New York's senator Hillary Clinton, her reelection campaign for 2006, and further a possible presidential campaign for 2008. It is reported that Clinton has assembled a team that is quietly and steadily working on laying the groundwork for a possible Democratic presidential nomination for 2008. Fund raising efforts, speaking engagements, political alliances, and working partnerships with Republican senators are described as part of her effort to win re-election in 2006, and to prepare for 2008. Aides are said to be worried about her high unfavorable public approval ratings in national polls.
