Abstract: Abstract: We developed a Monte Carlo code based on Geant4 to simulate the propagation of charged particles through the Hermean magnetosphere and their interactions with the soil of Mercury. In this paper, we present simulations on the interactions of galactic cosmic ray protons with the Mercurian environment. The secondary flux at 400 km has been calculated, and the quasi-trapping of electrons, positrons, and protons has been studied. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
