Abstract: The article features Joshua Schachter, a Web site technologist from Yahoo. He have developed the Web site Memepool, followed by his fascination and interest for Web links. His personal list of bookmarked Web pages increase to more than 20,000 entries. In order to bring order to the chaos brought about by the increased number of entries, he wrote an application called Muxway. In 2003, he rewrote Muxway and has launched it as a Web site called del.icio.us. The new site is a bookmarking system that can store all links that do not fit in a folder. The Web site has emerged as a tool to help individuals manage their own information.
