Abstract: The article discusses the role of engineers and architects in the construction of a bridge. Earlier, there was no distinction in bridge building, between the role of an architect and engineer. But this trend changed with the growth of different kinds of transport, roads, canals and railways. After this change, the bridge became the department of an engineer.
