| Abstract (English): | In order to analyze the durability of the different types of stickers used in the kiln dry process, a sample of sticks was studied by type of cut, radial or tangential. The behavior of these sticks submissive to loads was evaluated and its durability was observed, considering its yield according to type of cut and defects by type of sticks and position within the kiln drying. It was observed that the position of the stacked lumber is not determining in the loss of sticks, the presence of defects and the unstacking system was the most important factor. It was determined that sticker with tangential cut without defects gives better yields, and poorest the radial cut. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | Con el propósito de analizar la durabilidad de los distintos tipos de separadores para el proceso de secado, se selecciona una muestra de palillos según el tipo de corte utilizado ya sean estos radiales o tangenciales. Se evaluó el comportamiento de estos palillos sometidos a cargas y se observó su durabilidad, considerando su rendimiento según tipo de corte y defectos por tipo de separador y posición dentro de las cámaras de secado. Se observó que la posición de los castillos no es determinante en la pérdida de separadores, lo que sí es un factor importante es la presencia de defectos y el tipo de desempalillado. Se determinó que el corte tangencial sin defectos es el separador que mejores rendimientos obtuvo en contraposición el corte radial fue el que obtuvo un rendimiento inferior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
