Abstract (English): The physical properties of each type of sludge is a group of elements highly important for its treatment, drying and handling. A group of the phisical properties wich are, in the author criteria, most important for sludge characterization in a wastewater treatment plant and the means for its detrermination is given. Stablishing the means and the determinations in every plant for control and effectivity of sludge management is sugested by the author. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): La determinación de las características físicas de cada lodo en particular es un grupo de elementos de suma importancia para su posterior tratamiento, desecación y manejo. Se presentan algunas de estas propiedades físicas que en opinión del autor son imprescindibles para caracterizar un lodo en plantas de tratamiento de residuales y su forma de determinación. Se sugiere establecer los medios y las determinaciones en todas las plantas como medida para el control y evaluación de la efectividad del manejo de sus lodos. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
