| Abstract: |
The article offers information on Adam Berg's "Perseus' Hysteria," a multimedia installation featuring a metamorphical play on the image of Medusa's eye, which was illustrated as a cybernetic eye. It consists of optical fibers, laser-cut stainless steel mirror plates, painted and photographic images on film screens, and TV monitors displaying a looped video sequence. This installation's use of visual means that manifest a naturalized and liberated technological realm from the dualistic conception of nature and technology is discussed. |
