Abstract: The author discusses issues concerning the prevalence of sales representatives who mislead consumers to purchase backup discs from their stores. He cites that sales representatives commonly tell consumers that they need to purchase in-store backup or recovery discs or else buy them from original manufacturers for much higher prices. He argues against such claims and notes that consumers can either make their own backup disc or purchase it from the manufacturer for a lower price.
