Abstract: The article examines the usual problems found in a corporate intranet site and shows how knowledge-driven design can improve the effectiveness of the user's site. Users need to create an effective intranet through alternative navigation, simplification of the decision-making, addressing complex matters, offering of facetted search, and improvement of the old design of the intranet.
