| Abstract: | Delayed resource reservation for multicast sessions in labelled optical packet switched networks is achieved by the proposed optical switch fabric architecture and corresponding multicast routing scheme. With them, contentions of multicast packets with unicast packets can be avoided and steady data transport pipelines for multicast sessions can be established from the source node to all the destination nodes. Consequently, quality of service for multicast sessions can be guaranteed effectively in labelled optical packet switched networks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
