Abstract: The article reports on the activities of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International in 2009. Thirteen educators from six universities in Bogotá Colombia visited the offices of the Asociación Colombiana de Productores de Concreto (ASOCRETO) on February 3-5 to understand ASTM's 2009 academic outreach initiative Year of the Professor. Four graduate students from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta attended ASTM's meetings in January.
