The article presents the contribution of IBM France La Gaude Laboratory to telecommunications. It indicates that IBM La Gaude Laboratory has been working for 40 years in the development of computing and electronic communications. It discusses the chronological order of company's innovations, contributions, and concepts from the creation of the laboratory in 1959 from early 1990s. In addition, it notes that the important contributions of La Guade Labotatory to telecommunications can be seen on the innovations they have made on the various data communication products such as private automatic branch exchange (PABX), data networks, and networking software. Moreover, the innovation also include arrays of transmission codes, modem technologies, and error protecting codes. |
