| Abstract: |
The article discusses the cobalt catalyst for electrochemical water oxidation which has garnered attention due to its efficiency at neutral pH and self-assembly from low-cost materials. It notes that the catalyst assembles as an amorphous layer on inert cathodes by electrodeposition from an aqueous solution of cobalt and phosphate salts. It suggests that further studies are needed to address the functional relations in the biological and artificial water-oxidation catalysts. |
