| Abstract: | The article presents the authors' response regarding their article which discusses block shear reduction factor. It highlights the arguments on gross conservatism and eccentricity of the shear lag factor. Nevertheless, the authors' remark that the tests for Tees varied from little to significant out-of-plane eccentricities and that the U = 1 -x/L factor correlaes with Ubs which is significantly less than 1. |
