Abstract: The article features new materials and designs specified to address seals and gaskets in chemical processing systems. These seals and gaskets, accordingly, are of great importance to chemical processors as they efficiently handle aggressive media, high temperature and high failures. To better improve chemical processing, Precision Polymer Engineering introduces the EnDura family of elastomer seals designed to temperature extremes, higher pressures and greater levels of hydrogen sulfide and other chemicals. Trelleborg Sealing Solutions releases the proprietary PTFE-based materials which are compatible with most chemical media.
