Abstract: The article discusses advancement in the integration of vision communications using the human-machine interface. It notes that the transmission of data from vision systems is sent to control tools such as Modbus and Ethernet I/P, the most common and preferred communications protocols. Serial port is also used as an alternative for Ethernet port. It also mentions the use of the Microsoft ActiveX in vision software for application flexibility, which uses a PC-to-camera communication.
