Abstract: The author comments on the imposition of fees and charges imposed by wireless companies in the U.S. He criticizes wireless companies for collecting fees from their customers without informing them during offers. The author reflects on his experience in renewing his XM Satellite Radio subscription. He reacts to a music royalty fee and an invoice fee added to his subscription cost. He reveals that such fees cost each U.S. resident an estimated 950 U.S. dollars every year. Moreover, the article looks at the effort of the government to address the problem.
