Abstract: The article presents a study which examines a method for synthesizing optically active calixarenes that involves triple annulation of the biscarbene complex 5 with bisalkyne 6. The researchers utilize methylene substitution to achieve the desired results of the study. The study reveals that the method for the synthesis of optically active calixarenes using methylene substitution is also applicable for synthesizing optically active di- and tetramethoxy-substituted calixarenes.
