| Abstract: | The article discusses the increasing problems caused by e-book piracy. It says that the publishing industry is having problems with e-book piracy as the popularity of e-readers like the Amazon Kindle continues to grow. According to the author, the availability of best sellers is just the start as there are virtual bookshelves stuffed with pirated e-book titles including copyrighted nonfiction and fiction as well as college textbooks. He says that concerns about piracy have stopped many authors and publishers from embracing the e-book format. Many authors believe that the piracy problem takes a backseat to the challenge of getting people to read books. |
