Abstract: The article focuses on the Android software package for mobile phones. The author reports that as of mid-April 2010, about 50 makes and models of Android phones were available, being developed or about to be released. Android-based phone manufacturers include Blackberry, Samsung and Sony Ericsson. According to the author, the Android operating system is also used in tablet computers, e-readers and other devices.
