| Abstract: | The article presents a case study of the primary and secondary radiation damage in hydrated starch granules of B-type potato. The study used raster-microdiffraction with synchrotron radiation microbeams technique to induce the radiation damage. The results show that primary radiation damage effect is bounded to X-ray beam track by irradiation at 100 Kelvin (K), and that reactive radical species were formed at the origin of the secondary radiation damage processes. |
