Abstract: The article discusses the importance of narrative explanations to make people understand difficult scientific issues. It relates the story encountered by David Rejeski, director at Woodrow Wilson Center's Program for Science and Technology Innovation, about science which mark his endeavors in assessing public to understand science. It notes the scientific accomplishments of biologist J. Craig Venter and scientist-storyteller Drew Endy in using narratives as contestable representation of science.
