Abstract: The article focuses on how to use sensitivity tables to design an optimal flexible heat exchanger network (HEN) for a multi-period chemical process. It cites the different types of sensitivity tables including the T(TS), T(CP), and T(UA). It states that the sensitivity tables are developed by finding the base case temperatures' variations and are used in the adjustment of the streams' target temperature.
