Abstract: The author examines a technology developed by Professor Gordon Smith at Warwick Manufacturing Group, to reduce the volatile organic compound emissions at automobile paintshops. He discusses the advantage of using powdered paint that is injected into the mold using compressed gas. He explains that the mold acts as the pollutant remover, there is no solvent used and product quality is not affected.
