| Abstract: |
In this paper, we review the current apparel Computer Aided Design (CAD) system, three dimensional (3D) to two dimensional (2D technology. First, 3D virtual body was acquired from 3D body scan data. Meshing techniques were applied to the 3D virtual body. In order to create flattened (2D) patterns from 3D data, flattening methods such as dart generation algorithm which considers shear deformation, and wireframe transform model were presented. Virtual scissoring method and geometric draping modeling which imitate draping techniques were represented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
