Abstract: The article presents a study which compares a variety of Greek and international search engines in terms of characteristics, methods of employment, and popularity. It highlights the changes of search engines, particularly on the Greek Web which has expended in years enriching the Greek content on the web. It also highlighted the redefined the role of other existing search engines particularly on the use of Greek characters and transliterated English phrases for Greek users.
