Abstract: The article focuses on the digital-pixel focal plane array (DFPA) array detection that enhances the infrared (IR) imaging capabilities. It says that FPAs perform well in various circumstances, but satisfying the requirements can lead to large, expensive, and complex system solutions. It states that DFPA is formed when a detector array is matched to a silicon complementry metal oxide semiconductor (cmos) readout integrated circuit (ROIC).
