Abstract: The article discusses web development for mobile devices such as the iPhone smartphone, and mentions mobile computer specific programming languages such as Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). Digital data transfer, website resources such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and Javascript, and the latency delay between request and response are discussed, as well as wireless Internet connections, Domain Name System (DNS) requests, and General Packet Radio Service (GPRS). The number of Gateway GPRS Support Nodes (GGSNs) for mobile carriers are mentioned, as well as HTTP requests, mobile computers' memory capacities, and memory required for features such as images.
