Abstract: The article examines the effect of the screw geometry in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implant fixation. It states that the primary stability in the fixation with screw is a mechanical interlocking (fixation) in the surrounding bone. It also mentions the lowest limit approaches for the material in the screw geometry that is observed in the equivalent stress in the titanium screws. It also emphasizes the significant limitation of the drilling process and self-trading screws study.
