Abstract: The article presents a research study which examines the measurement and exposure control of refractory ceramic fibres (RCFs). Findings reveal the RCF life-cycle in various task categories in the industry, the geometric mean time-weighted average counts for functional categories in the U.S. and Europe between 1991 and 1996, and the relationship between fibre level measurements and airborne fibre level reduction. The description, methods, and conclusion of the study are discussed.
