Abstract: The article discusses the use of online resources to facilitate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning in US elementary schools, and encourage student inquiry. According to the authors, online resources and technology in STEM lessons enable students to use problem-solving skills and higher-order thinking supported by mathematics and helps them to discover things. They discuss the online genetics game called Dog Breeding that helps students learn about genetics.
