Abstract: The article offers tips on how to protect personal computers against security traps. It looks at phishing web sites which mimic the look of another site to lure users into entering their personal and account information. It cautions against clicking links and attachments in electronic mails. It also highlights web sites that are disguised as permission request to update the web browser or download the latest version of the software to run a feature on the page.
