| Abstract: |
Mesostructured tin oxide with high specific surface area was synthesized in weak alkaline condition. The synthesis of the product was achieved using a neutral surfactant (dodecylamine: C12H25NH2) as template, and hydrated tin chloride (SnCl4·5H2O) as inorganic precursor. Mesostructured SnO2 was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption–desorption experiment. The BET surface area of the sample calcined at 300 °C is 359 m2/g, with an average pore diameter (BJH) of 21 A˚. [Copyright &y& Elsevier] |
