Abstract: The article presents a study which described three Title I high school teachers' experiences of professional development (PD). Topics discussed include the provisions of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act in the U.S., an overview of key elements of New Mexico's 3-tiered licensure system, and the relation between effective PD and good teaching results.
