Abstract (English): This paper proposes a dynamic approach to the concept of political culture, born as such in the sixties, and has served as the basis for fine tune it, through the integration of theoretical perspectives that seek to explain the changing values and political attitudes in today's world. The theoretical journey that begins by considering the categories of analysis for understanding the political culture, will unveil allowing the relationship between teaching practices and processes that articulate school life, with preparation for meaningful participation in building a society more fair, supportive and committed to peace and the rights of peoples, through the formation of political subjects and the influence of such practices in the construction of citizenship as identity regulatory public life through design somewhat incipient educational strategies for the formation of "new citizen". Abstract (Spanish): El presente texto propone una manera dinámica de acercamiento al concepto de cultura política, que nace como tal en la década de los sesenta, y que ha servido de base para ir afinando el mismo, a través de la integración de perspectivas teóricas que buscan explicitar el cambio de valores y actitudes políticas en el mundo actual. El recorrido teórico que parte de considerar las categorías de análisis para la comprensión de la cultura política, va permitiendo develar la relación entre las prácticas pedagógicas como procesos que articulan la vida escolar, con la preparación para la participación significativa en la consolidación de una sociedad más justa, solidaria y comprometida con la paz y los derechos de los pueblos, a través de la formación de sujetos políticos y la influencia de dichas prácticas en la construcción de ciudadanía como identidad reguladora de la vida pública, a través del diseño un tanto incipiente de estrategias educativas orientadas a la formación del "nuevo ciudadano".
