Abstract: The article presents an analysis of textbooks of the Australian Curriculum to determine the historical representation of the Gallipoli campaign, along with the ideological understandings of history conveyed to students and teachers. A historical overview of the Australian Curriculum is given. It offers information about the Gallipoli campaign and its importance to Australia's history. The focus of textbooks on Australian involvement in the Gallipoli conflict is noted.
