| Abstract: | The article examines the potential of using stories of reference encounters and narratives in reference classes. It shares 4 stories the author previously used in classes as examples of key concepts or practices and are stories on how to open the reference interview, how to respect a patron's privacy and how to arrive at a patron's true question. These vignettes of stories include assessing whether the patron needs assistance and how to respond in like in respecting privacy. |
