Abstract (English): This study aims to develop a measurement tool that evaluates the adjustment of university students to university life in terms of personal, social and academic dimensions and also to conduct the validity and reliability of this measurement tool. The study included two study groups one of which comprised of 375 respondents and the other involved 488 respondents. Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analyses were used in order to test the validity of the scale developed for this study. In addition, test-retest reliability method and internal consistency Analysis were used in order to evaluate the reliability of the scale. As a result of the factor analysis study, the Adjustment to University Life Scale consisted of 60 items and 3 factors (personal, social, academic). Study findings revealed that this measurement tool can be used for Turkish university students as both a reliable and valid one. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Turkish): Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin üniversiteye uyumlarını kişisel, sosyal ve akademik boyutları ile ölçen bir ölçme aracının geliştirilmesi, geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları yapılmasıdır. Araştırmada, 375 (277 kadın, 98 erkek) olmak ve 488 (345 kadın, 143 erkek) olmak üzere iki grupla çalışılmıştır. Geliştirilen ölçeğin geçerliğini sınamak amacıyla açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Test-tekrar test ve iç tutarlık analizleriyle ölçeğin güvenilirliği değerlendirilmiştir. Faktör analizi çalışmaları sonucunda, Üniversite Yaşamına Uyum Ölçeği 60 madde ve üç faktörden (kişisel, sosyal, akademik) oluşmuştur. Beşli Likert tipi olan araca ait alt ölçeklerin Cronbach alfa katsayıları sırasıyla .92, .89, .93'dür. Testin tekrarı katsayıları ise .82, .61, .84 olarak bulunmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, Türk üniversite öğrencilerinde geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
