| Abstract (English): | It is important that literary works written for children to be rich in terms of vocabulary. Aim of this study is to determine the vocabulary of Aytul Akal's story book named Balloons on the Sky. Descriptive survey model was applied in this study. The data of this study were collected by using qualitative approaches and document analysis was used in the study. Words, idioms, proverbs, doubling, routine words and proper nouns which are the components of vocabulary were found via content analysis. Words in the stories were separated into their base and stem and computerized in order to determine the vocabulary of Aytul Akal's story book named Balloons on the Sky which was published by Redhouse Kidz publishing. Frequency index of the words of computerized story text was formed by using Cibakaya 2.3 version. As a result, story book was determined that it is rich in terms of vocabulary, idioms but insufficient in terms of some other components such as proverbs and routine words. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Turkish): | Çocuklar için yazılmış edebî eserlerin söz varlığı açısından zengin olması önemlidir. Bu araştırmanın amacı Aytül Akal'ın Gökyüzünde Balonlar adlı öykü kitabının söz varlığını tespit etmektir. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımı benimsenerek gerçekleştirilen araştırmanın verileri doküman incelemesi yoluyla elde edilmiştir. İçerik analizi ile söz varlığı ögeleri olan kelimeler, deyimler, atasözleri, ikilemeler, kalıp (ilişki) sözler ve özel isimler, tespit edilmiştir. Aytül Akal'ın Redhouse Kidz Yayınlarından çıkan Gökyüzünde Balonlar adlı öykü kitabının söz varlığını tespit etmek amacıyla öykülerde yer alan kelimeler, kök ve gövde hâline getirilerek bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmıştır. Eserin sözcük sıklık dizini Cibakaya programının 2.3. sürümü kullanılarak oluşturulmuştur. Sonuç olarak eserin kelime hazinesi ve deyimler bakımından zengin, diğer söz varlığı unsurları (atasözleri, kalıp sözler) açısından yetersiz olduğu belirlenmiştir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
